TrulaCampus™ Coach Code Of Conduct
A TrulaCampus™ Coach partners with Coachees, who are seeking to learn or improve their life skills. TrulaCampus™ Coaches always show respectful and non-judgmental regard for their Coachees, and assume their Coachee is capable, resourceful, and has a capacity to learn and grow. They strive to look for and encourage positive behaviors and outcomes and ask permission when instructing, or when pointing out areas that may need improvement.
TrulaCampus™ Coaches maintain confidentiality with all client and sponsor information unless release is required by law, specifically adhering to all applicable state and federal regulations. Coaches refer coachees to the proper channels for any issues brought up that might be best served by Academic Advising, the police, or a counselor or therapist, adhering to their specific organizational directives.
TrulaCampus™ Coaches strive to continually increase their coaching knowledge and improve their skills through study and practice, and regularly ask for feedback from their Coachees. They also regularly attend their organization’s Coaches forum or council to embrace continual improvement in their coaching practices.
Coach and Coachee establish an informal agreement which clarifies and delineates the roles, responsibilities and expectations of both Coach and Coachee. For example, showing up for coaching sessions, doing work-related to goals set between coaching sessions, maintaining confidentiality, etc. The TrulaCampus™ Coach communicates that the role of the Coach is to support and encourage growth and learning, empowering the Coachee to set and accomplish goals related to their work.
TrulaCampus™ Coaches refrain from unlawful discrimination including age, race, gender orientation, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, national origin or disability; and consistently demonstrate dignity in all professional relationships.
